It is 99 years, 2 months and 10 days since Titanic was lost. Upon hearing the word 'Titanic', many memories and emotions are revitalized within me. A few days back, I was watching the movie on TV and I'm honestly amazed at how it never fails to make me cry. Well, that lead to an idea of writing a post on the tragic events that happened on Titanic and how love sometimes come with a sacrifice.

To me, the reason why this movie became such a big hit was not only because it had such a heartbreaking love story but it also captured the true faces of humanity when caught in life-threatening situations. Of course the first thought that comes to mind is to run but as depicted in the movie, you can observe the chaos unfolding right before your eyes. There's no such thing as humanity then. The only mentality they had was to do everything in their power to survive. Even if that meant they had to shoot, shove or stab someone else to achieve what they wanted. Besides, why would you care for someone else's life when you can't guarantee your own tomorrow? I know, I know. I'm not saying that I'm not human. I'm sure if I was on the Titanic, I would be struggling to hang onto dear life and can't give a hoot about another persons' safety. But you see, that's exactly what I want to point out. It's such a frustrating fact and yet there's nothing much that can be done to change it. There isn't a single person out there who doesn't appreciate life. And what's more precious than being alive? I just want to highlight to you guys what a scary world we actually live in. That when circumstances demand for it, how mankind can be ruthless and so out of their minds. How they can do just about anything in order to see the sun rise for another day. It is almost painful to watch James Cameron capture all those ugly yet truthful side of mankind in his film, Titanic. THIS is why the film was so successful. Because it is real. Those emotions portrayed by the people are worth more than millions simply because it is true.

However, this brings my train of thoughts on another issue. The earthquake, tsunami and nuclear crisis that hit Japan this year was regrettable but it showed the world something truly imperative. A little something like humanity. The people of Japan stuck together and braved the trials that surrounded them with dignity. By the word dignity, I mean, there were no reports of looting or rioting in Japan during the disaster. There was also no pushing, shoving or arguing in line while waiting for food, blankets and other donated assistance. The people in Japan just calmly and quietly waited in an orderly line and only took what they needed. The Japanese culture truly amazes me up till this day. Why weren't we all brought up this way? If mankind were all aware of other peoples' feelings and do our very best to avoid hurting others, wouldn't this world be a much better place to live in? Think about it

And last but not least, I want to talk about the love story that tugs at your heartstrings. The endearing love story which caught the attention of millions and moved them to tears. Some say love is unconditional. Love is truth. Love is joy. Love is not a feeling; it's an act of your will. There are so many definitions and quotes about love but honestly, love, to me is indescribable. How do you measure love? Can you say that you love a person more than they love you? Or perhaps can you measure the depths of a persons' love by counting the years you are in a relationship? The answer is simply no. I love how in the movie, Titanic, they illustrated a love story so beautiful that it transcends through space and time. Who says that people who are young aren't capable of loving someone as much as someone who is older? I'm sure the love between Rose and Jack was real because they believed it to be real. There are no certificates to true love. Weddings are only a tool for women to get their fairy tale ending and simply to make things official. Even weddings these days do not guarantee your happily ever after. I think what keeps the love/ marriage alive is simply to believe. If it was true love 20 years ago, why wouldn't it be true now? If you truly love someone and believe in the love that you share, you would be bonded together forever. No matter what hardships that may come your way, you would always be able to overcome it TOGETHER. Do you remember this movie called Penelope? At the ending, there was a little boy who said, "It's not the power of the curse - it's the power you give the curse." What a smart kid! This applies just as true when it comes to matters of the heart. It's not the power of the love- it's the power you give the love.

This is what I feel anyway. Things that we see but aren't able to describe everyday; humanity and love.

And if you're ready to cry, here's something that may help you :)

True love sometimes come with a sacrifice T__________T

My friend introduced 'Midnight Circus' to me and at first I didn't really like it. I thought that their voices weren't of much substance but noted that the tune of the song was catchy. After a while though, the song grew on me and it's actually pretty addictive. Check it out below to see if you feel the same way :)

2NE1's latest and the final teaser featuring Park Bom has been released today.

However, the release of the MUSIC VIDEO for 2NE1's comeback titled has been delayed. (I know, Blackjacks. I FEEL YOU)

According to an official YG blog post, the reason behind the delay is to ensure a higher-quality video.“The problem was that we had set the bar too high,”
YG said. “We spent more than twice the amount of money we had spent on previous videos, and the scale of the video grew larger than expected, which lengthened the post-production time.”
The music video will now be released two or three days later than its expected June 24th release date.

This is 2PM's newest single and it has a catchy club beat to it which is repetitive and easily gets stuck in your head. I might need a little time to love this song as it's a different sound we're hearing from 2PM (remember Heartbeat or Without You?) but I'm not saying it's bad. It's just, you know, new and foreign to my ears. I'm sure it's gonna be blasting in the clubs and everyone is gonna want to put their hands up though! :)

So, enjoy this, HOTTEST!

It's a bass-pumping dance track and if there's one thing for sure, it's gonna blow up the charts. It's definitely a song not to be missed as even the teaser has got my head bobbing. Check it out for yourselves!

Peace out!

Recently, I got the opportunity to watch the well awaited movie, Green Lantern, starring Ryan Reynolds. The synopsis of the movie is;
A test pilot is granted a mystical green ring that bestows him with otherworldly powers, as well as membership into an intergalactic squadron tasked with keeping peace within the universe.
Yes, I know the plot sounds cliched and childish but hey, this movie WAS ADAPTED from the original Green Lantern comic books first published in 1940. So you shouldn't just immediately label the movie as 'boring' or 'lame'. I agree that the plot IS a little common and overused since mankind always seem to be REALLY undistinguished and can be easily wiped out of our whole population (in almost every other movie) BUT I realized that it actually sends out a very powerful message to us all.

Since the power ring and power lantern gives the user great control over the physical world as long as the wielder has sufficient willpower and strength to wield it, it gave me the joy of hope that in this crumbling world we live in, there's the possibility of surviving as long as you persevere. Be it at work or at school, I think it applies just the same. Every person out there just seeks to get by each day without any worries or regrets and whether you realize this or not, your existence makes the world a difference, depending on your outlook of life. If aliens do exist among us (as the movie suggests) and are feeding on FEAR to grow stronger, I hope and pray that one day if world domination IS EVER to occur and we're being attacked by aliens (wait, do I sound like a saddist?), I would have the courage, willpower and strength to fight and try my very best to live on. With that, my legacy shall prevail.

Okay, okay. I know what you must be thinking by now. WHAT THE CRAP IS THIS GIRL TALKING ABOUT?! I know I have weird thoughts and the best part is that I LOVE SHARING MY WEIRD THOUGHTS WITH YOU! :D
You know how girls are, one day we're worrying about our weight;
another day we worry about (world domination?) AHAHAHAHAHA!

But anyway, enough with the scary thoughts. Besides the plot, the C.G.I. effects are pretty awesome and not to mention, they have a great cast to boot the movie with! Check out MAH MAN, RYAN REYNOLDS!

But Blake Lively gets our Green Lantern/ Chocolate Abs :'(
(She looks gorgeous in the movie though. heehhe)

Oh, and I actually really like the Green Lantern Oath too :D

"In brightest day, in blackest night,
No evil shall escape my sight,
Let those who worship evil's might,
 Beware my power....Green Lantern's light!"

I can NEVER eat fast!

When I rush while eating, I feel that everything tastes a little funny and I'm not even sure if the food's gonna digest well.

ANDDD I can't bathe speedily.
(I wish my shower tub looks like this!)

When my friends complain about the amount of time I take to shower, I'd just say, "Hey, at least you know I'm clean!" but honestly, I have no idea why I bathe so slow.

Am I weird? Or am I not the only one? ahaha.

I know that it's not something new but every time I'm feeling down or just need a little cheering up, this song really comes in handy. I'm surprised at how Jay Park can be so hot and adorable at the same time. hehehe. Not only that, this song makes you feel like dancing all your troubles away (which is what everyone needs). Jay Park also exhibits his awesome dance moves and makes your jaw drop in awe at his b-boy skills. All in all, it's a music video that SHOULD NOT be missed!

P.S: I love his smile! <3
P.P.S: Sorry for the lack of updates, I've been getting lazy. teeheee. Will try to update more often!

I love it when all my favourite youtubers get together to produce a video. It makes the video so much more enjoyable to watch :)
This time, Chester See, Kev Jumba and Niga Higa collaborated to produce a video with a catchy song on how nice guys always finish last (or perhaps not). Chester See automatically becomes the 'how to become a bad guy' tutor while Kev Jumba and Niga Higa hilariously embarks on their journey to turn into a 'bad ass' themselves. I love it! :)

I know, I know. This drama review is WAYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY overdue but I hope it's not too late (for some of you). Okay, firstly, I can't wait to tell you how great this drama is! It's truly the BEST Korean drama up to this date. Since it was produced in 2010, it's not your typical SLOWWWW paced Korean drama where you feel like slapping the lead actors/actresses for being so dumb. I know there's some dramas where conflicts lasts for MANY MANY episodes and you don't see the main actors falling in love UNTIL THE LAST EPISODE. But thank God, Secret Garden is NOTHING like that! Those dramas are so tiring to watch. I mean, I know it's supposed to be DRAMATIC since it's called a drama but come on! The world is evolving. ahahha. Okay, that's exaggerated. Anyway, here's the synopsis of the story! :)

The drama tells the story of Kim Joo Won (Hyun Bin), an arrogant and eccentric CEO who maintains the image of seeming perfection, and Gil Ra Im (Ha Ji Won), a poor and humble stuntwoman whose beauty and body are the object of envy amongst top actresses. Their accidental meeting, when Joo Won mistakes Ra Im for actress Park Chae Rin, marks the beginning of a tense, bickering relationship, through which Joo Won tries to hide a growing attraction to Ra Im that both confuses and disturbs him. To complicate matters further, a strange sequence of events results in them swapping bodies.

Editor's Note: This is NOT your typical swapping of the bodies just for humor. By the end of the drama, you'll understand the purpose of the swap and might even shed a tear. I sure did :')

Did I also mention that the cast are amazing actors and actresses? :)

Anyway, here are some of my FAVOURITEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE quotes from the show. If you haven't watched it before, you might find it puzzling though

"I’m telling you now, from all the poor and alienated neighbors, you’re the only person to receive Kim Joo Won’s first and last hand-written letter. So you can be proud of yourself.

This afternoon, the wind is blowing and it’s shaking the branches.  I hope that when you read this letter, it is in an afternoon when the wind is blowing the tree’s branches just like this. Just now I realize that the magic spell we are under might be a gift from God. So smile joyfully as the recipient of a wonderful gift.  If you laugh from the heart, I will hear that laugh because I am a lot more competent person that you think.  I hope you’ll see the things I see. You’ll stand at the window where I stand, lie down in the bed where I laid down and read the books that I read. Shave my face nicely. Dress me in the expensive, cool clothing that I like. If we could be together even in that way, then it’s enough. Let’s think of it as us being together. That’s enough for us to consider ourselves as happy as other couples."  —Kim Dol Chu
She drives like a car racer. If she witnesses someone’s purse being snatched, someone she’s never met in her life, she’ll throw fists. She has no money and her body is covered in scars, but she doesn’t want to spend even one second of one minute with people like us. She’s that kind of woman. I’ve never seen a woman as cool as her. That… is my answer.
"I'm warning you..don't get mad at me because of another guy. Don't tell me it hurts because of another guy. And don't ever come to me again because of another guy."
“Don’t fall in love with another guy. For the rest of your life, live alone and think of me. This is perhaps the most selfish decision I’ve made in my life.”
“It’s not because I love you, but because I only love you. If I don’t have you, then I won’t have any other choices.”
“Open your eyes. You did something strange and stole my heart, you made me drink something strange and stole my body, showed up at someone else’s party and stole even my lips. If it wasn’t for that, there is no reason for you to look so pretty in my eyes.”

Now can someone please tell me where MY Kim Joowon is hiding?

2NE1's ONE AND ONLY PERFORMANCE won the Inkigayo Mutizen Award! *applause* The girls are awesome (as usual) and I'm just really proud to see how far they've come in their career.
