My Godfather, "Kuya" Frank, passed away last October after a 4-year long battle with cancer and it struck a familiar feeling in my gut. My dad passed away when I was 10 and the reailty of losing another father figure really hit me hard. I wrote this song not about a death or losing someone to an illness, but about wanting to be with someone so bad that you couldn't go another day without them-- but this song spoke differently to Kuya Frank's wife, Ate Rhea. She told me that she listened to this song as if it was Kuya Frank singing to her, fighting for her, and wanting to be there for her through all of this. Thus, the original concept for this video was born and it stuck in my head-- and I pray that this video helps you realize that you are not alone in your struggle, whether it is you or a loved one going through it. Don't forget to let your loved ones know that you love them... We never know what tomorrow might bring.

This video is based on The Five Stages of Grief (Kübler-Ross model). Everyone who deals with a life-changing or life-threatening event has a unique journey to go through, but I still hope that you all can relate to this in one way or another.

Say NO to Cruelty Against Animals!!

Hey everyone!

I'm sure most of us would have at some point had a pet or know someone who has a pet. Even if you don't, there must be a moment when you saw a particular dog/cat/bird/squirrel/monkey/rabbit, etc and thought it's just adorable! Others would simply agree that having a pet is just like having your best friend around - without the talking.

Well, as much as we humans have rights, ANIMALS HAVE RIGHTS TOO! But they can't speak up for themselves so it's our job to help protect them.

Please sign the online petition addressing animal abuse in Malaysia. The organizers are trying to get 50,000 signatures by the end of 2011 and will send it to the Prime Minister of Malaysia. On the website, you will find the latest case of animal cruelty caught on video. Be part of the people to put an end to such acts.

FBI research indicates that animal abusers are 5 times more likely to be violent in society. When they are not punished, they continue their abuse on children, women and society at large. Consequently, Governments all over the world have begun to take animal cruelty seriously by imposing punitive cruelty penalties and have encouraged Responsible Pet Ownership.
