I'm sorry it took me this long to update the blog with one of the greatest collaborations in K-pop history! Since Tablo (Epik High) recently joined the YG family, family, FAMILY, he had the pleasure of featuring Taeyang on his latest solo track, Tomorrow. With Taeyang's soulful voice singing the heartbreaking melody and lyrics that was composed by Tablo himself, this song is nothing short of perfection. Really, I never get bored listening to it.
With tragic lyrics like, "Baby there’s no, no, no, no more tomorrow. Till you come back, everyday is yesterday", this song is sure to be stuck in your head for a good couple of days. The meaning behind the song, in Taeyang's own words; “Tomorrow” is about mourning the break up with a lover, saying “there is no tomorrow” until she returns. Being unable to move on from that moment and space, waiting for her to return. *heart shatters into a million pieces </3*
The music video reflects the loneliness of a guy after a break up. Set in the desert, with fast cars and helicopters hovering above them, time is at a stand still and it shows their frustration from being unable to move on. It's really amazing how the rap lyrics carry so much depth and pain from an unforgettable farewell. People say when a couple breaks up, usually the guy would fall into greater depression since they don't express themselves well or cry to their friends day and night, like how girls would. With those pent up pain, Tablo managed to convey such heart-wrenching lyrics, and it really gives us, girls, an insight on how a guy copes after a break up.
"Don’t say that you can forget love by having a different love because it will be a lonelier meet than separation."
"Don’t say that time heals all because each moment will be like death for me."
