부활 (BOOHWAL)- 사랑할수록 (THE MORE I LOVE)

부활 (BOOHWAL)'s immense fame now did not actually come easily to them but was earned through blood and sweat. They had many lead vocalists who came and go, and some, even to places that was far beyond our reach. What better song to promote Boohwal than 사랑할수록 (The More I Love)? This song brought Boohwal back together after Lee Seung Chul and Kim Tae Won went their separate ways.

After regrouping, Boohwal released their third album in 1993, featuring the hit single, "사랑할수록 (The More I Love)". The album was a success but there's a very tragic story that comes with this amazing song. The original vocalist at the start of the recording, 김재기 (Kim Jae Gi) was involved in a traffic accident and unfortunately passed away. After his death, his younger brother, 김재희 (Kim Jae Hee) was scouted by 김태원 (Kim Tae Won) as he had that similar, distinctive vocals his brother possessed.

I believe that Boohwal songs appeal to the public as its' lyrics just tells the story of their life. I know a lot of people in the music industry these days try their hand in composing and songwriting but not many succeed. Kim Tae Won, however, is one that did. His honest lyrics that tells the story of the band's hardships, the rise and fall, the pain and everything they went through together is what sets him apart from others. Not to mention, his lyrics aren't exactly easy to sing as it needs to match the color of the music he's trying to portray.

Boohwal's story of a painful love whereby the more they love,
